Wedding Bells in the Pray Family

 The Pray family is pleased to announce the marriage of Tyler Pray and Dana Douglass.  The new couple was married  July 25th at St Anne Catholic Church on Mackinac Island,Michigan.

A reception followed at the Cudahay Manor, The Inn at Stonecliffe for close family friends. 

As the couple and their families planned the wedding they found a number of similarities between the planning of funerals and wedding ceremonies.

A second larger reception was held two weeks later in the Pray Family Gardens behind the Pray Funeral Home for family and friends who could not attend the Mackinac event.  The Reception began with a blessing of the newlyweds by Rev. Msgr. Steven Raica who celebrated the marriage mass on Mackinac.  The blessing ceremony took place in front of restored Gothic Alter from the original family church, St. Mary Catholic Church in Charlotte. 

  Both receptions were held outdoors under  canopies decorated by the family and friends of the couple using 200

yards of pink fabric and numerous lights and paper lanterns to illuminate the festivities.

Tyler and Dana are remodeling a house adjacent to the funeral home in Charlotte for their residence.
